DORMA door closer range has an exciting new look

The latest door closer covers and finishes range from DORMA makes it possible to integrate DORMA closers with practically any interior design scheme and create a fully co-ordinated look throughout the building.

Rack and pinion closers are available with an architectural flat form arm in two different cover options: full square edged metal covers or full rounded edge “Softline” metal covers. DORMA’s unique cam action range is available with slide channel arms and Softline covers. Both styles of cover are available in silver, satin stainless steel, polished chrome, polished brass, and an extensive selection of Hewi colour coatings.

The new range of cover designs mean that different DORMA closers can be neatly co-ordinated, even if a combination of DORMA rack and pinion and cam action closers are used within a scheme. For refurbishment projects, existing door closers can be economically updated to match the new styling.

People with disabilities, the elderly and young children have fewer problems using doors that incorporate the DORMA cam action technology, as it results in a rapidly decreasing resistance throughout the opening cycle. Both the cam action and the rack and pinion closer ranges have models which can be adjusted so that the opening force conforms to the DDA, as detailed in the new Approved Document M, without compromising fire safety. All DORMA door closers are CERTIFIRE approved for fire doors as well as being successfully independently tested to BS EN 1154.
